Sandra Taylor Mrs. Taylor was named principal at Milton M. Somers Middle School in 2018. Prior to serving as principal, she was principal at Berry Elementary School for two years and William A. Diggs Elementary School for nine years. She began her career with Charles County Public Schools in 2001, serving first as vice principal at Walter J. Mitchell Elementary School. She was vice principal at Mitchell for five years and was named the first vice principal at Diggs when the school opened in 2006. She began her teaching career in 1993 as an elementary school teacher in Hillsborough County Public Schools in Tampa. She moved to Maryland in 1994, where she taught sixth grade for several years at Ft. Washington Forest Science and Math Technology School with Prince George's County Public Schools. Mrs. Taylor also served as the Challenge Grant Coordinator from 2000 to 2001 at Rose Valley Elementary School in Prince George's County. |

Zachary Ortolano Mr. Ortolano began working for Charles County in 2011 as a Math Teacher at Benjamin Stoddert Middle School. After 5 years, he moved to North Point High School where he taught Foundations of Algebra to 9th Graders and Intro to Advanced Math to 12th graders. He also was an adjunct professor at CSM for 3 years. In the fall of 2021, he made the jump into administrations here at Milton Somers Middle School. Mr. Ortolano has an amazing wife, who works in the county as a science teacher, and two young children.
