Sandra Taylor has been in education for 30 years beginning in 1993 as an elementary teacher in Hillsborough County Schools in Tampa, Florida.  She relocated to Maryland in 1994, where she first taught at Ft. Washington Forest Science and Math Technology School in Prince George’s County and the Challenge Grant Coordinator at Rose Valley Elementary School from 2000-2001.

Mrs. Taylor came to Charles County in 2001, where she served as vice principal at Walter J. Mitchell Elementary School from 2001-2006.  She served one year as the first vice principal at William A. Diggs Elementary School when it opened in 2006.  She was appointed principal at Diggs the year after and remained there until 2016.  She matriculated to Berry Elementary School where she served for two years.  In 2018, she was appointed to Milton Somers Middle Schools where she remains.

Mrs. Taylor earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, FL and her master’s in school administration and supervision from Bowie State University.
